UK commits to decarbonise electricity system by 2035

The UK government has announced plans to decarbonise the country's power system by 2035, instead of the previous target of 2050. US DOE funds hydrogen production from nuclear power

Nuclear to support mining expansion in Armenia

Armenia is preparing to launch a joint development in which a new nuclear power plant will support an expansion of copper mining in a collaboration between the country and Russian billionaire businessman Roman Trotsenko. Urenco Stable Isotopes has expanded its stable and medical isotopes facility in Almelo, the Netherlands, officially opening its new Leonardo da Vinci cascade yesterday. The company - a subsidiary of uranium enrichment company Urenco Nederland BV - said the move was in response to growing demand for medical isotopes.
